Attention 8th Grade Students – High School Information

Parents and Incoming 9th Grade Students:

It is hard to believe that we are entering the 2nd semester of the 2022-23 school year.  Time passes so fast!  It is now time to start preparing for your child to enter College Park High School as a freshman for the 2023-24 school year.  I have listed below some important dates for you to know so that you do not miss out on opportunities to learn more about our school, courses, activities, etc.  Also, I have included due dates and timelines so that you are able to take care of all the requirements.  Please pull out your phone and enter the dates with reminders, print it out and hang in on the refrigerator, or write it in a calendar that you check so you do not miss out.

January 9 Online Course Selection Opens – Access through 4-year plans in Parent/Student Access Center (PAC/SAC)
January 12 – College Park Counselors will visit classrooms at Knox JHJanuary 12 – Incoming 9th grade Parent Information Night – College Park HS Auditorium @ 6:30 pmJanuary 12 – Advanced Course Agreement (ACA) becomes available for parents to electronically sign in Parent Access Center (PAC)
February 2 – CP Showcase – Information about electives, core classes, and activities (come and go) – College Park HS Main Hallway – 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.February 2 – Dual Credit Information (meeting is for upperclassmen) – College Park HS Auditorium – 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.February 2 – Advance Course Information – College Park HS Auditorium – 6:30 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
February 5 – Course Selection window closes
March 10 – Course Selection Verification #1 – posted in parent/student access center (PAC/SAC)
March 10 – Course Selection Changes may be made by emailing your child future counselor at College Park HS
March 27 – Deadline for changes to course selections for a student and to sign the Advanced Course Agreement (ACA)
April 12 – 2nd Course Verification is posted in PAC/SAC.  Students without a signed Advanced Course Agreement (ACA) will be removed from advanced courses and it will be reflected on this verification.
