WELCOME TO YOUR HAPPY PLACE!! WASHBURN SCIENCE IS THE PLACE TO BE:)

HOWDY!!!  Welcome to 7th grade SCIENCE...
Where fun and excitement are just a lab away!!
My name is Heather Washburn and I teach 7th grade Science at Knox.  I am a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University where I was a member of the Track Team as a long-distance runner.  This is my 4th year at Knox and I absolutely love being a Knight.  I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 19 years.  He is the Varsity baseball coach at College Park High School.  We are blessed with 3 beautiful children: Lindsey-- a Freshman at Dallas Baptist University where she plays soccer, Travis-- a Sophomore at College Park & a member of the baseball team and Ashley --a 6th grader at Collins Intermediate who plays for Rush soccer club.  They keep us extremely busy with soccer and baseball and other fun activities.  When I am not teaching I am enjoying spending time with my family or you may see me running along the paths of the Woodlands as I de-stress my day running it off:)  I know this group of 7th graders will be a wonderful bunch of kiddos and I look forward to a very enlightening year teaching them...
