Grading Policy
60% major tests
20% quiz grades
20% daily grades

Work submitted after the due date will result in a 10 point deduction per day for major grades.

Due Dates for 504/IEP Accommodations are automatically included in due dates for the entire class. Ex: If an assignment is due on a Thursday, the actual day is Wednesday. Thursday is the extra day allotted for those students that have an accommodation.

If students are absent, it is their responsibility to check for assignments missed.

Daily grades and quizzes turned in with no excuse or extension notated and signed with Mrs. Blair's signature will result in a grade no higher than a 70.

Assignments submitted after 3 days with no extension  will not be accepted.     

Students are required to bring their composition notebooks to class daily for warm-ups/other assignments.

If an extension is allowed, a notation and signature from Mrs. Blair will be provided in student's agenda as to when it is due.  No verbal agreements will be accepted.

Parent emails or phone calls do not reflect an extension of the assignment.  If there is contact between the parent and Mrs. Blair, students are still required to have assignments in on time and/or the teacher's notation and signature must be written in their agendas.  

Excused absences:  Students will be allowed to make up assignments in accordance to days absent. Notation and signature in agenda required by Mrs. Blair.

Classroom Policies and Procedures         
Students are responsible for bringing agendas to class daily.  

Students are responsible for writing class assignment updates in their agendas (dates are subject to change).

Cell Phones are not allowed unless authorized for assignments.  

Students bringing water bottles to class have been suspended until further notice.

Students are required to bring classroom supplies daily.

If students did not bring their agendas for notation and signature, there will be no extension and the grade will be reflected as is.

Students who are in extracurricular activities are responsible for their assignments and meeting the required deadlines.
Essays and other writing assignments if typed, students are responsible for printing assignments prior to their class period of assignment due date.    

Students may drop their belongings off in class, use the restroom, get water or take care of personal business before the sound the bell.  If students are not in the classroom  before the bell, they will be marked tardy.  7th period students have until the 2nd bell. Students are aware of this policy.

Tuesday: 8:10-8:40 a.m.
Thursday: 8:10-8:40 am.
